Cari amici di Huddle Magazine ma anche tutti gli esperti. Io non sono un grandissimo tecnico ma ho guardato molta nfl seppur non con continuità negli ultimi 12 anni. La domanda è come mai gli Eagles, dati sempre x spacciati, hanno ribaltato le quotazioni? Se devo dire la mia non nutrivo alcuna speranza prima di capire che era esploso Wentz. Poi con l’infortunio ho pensato alla solita sfiga o incapacità di vincere di philadelphia. Poi però, nell’ultimo mese mi sentivo che questa squadra poteva andare ugualmente lontano e soprattutto col fattore campo, credo che il Lincoln sia uno degli stadi migliori del mondo. Non capisco perché lo scetticismo così marcato degli esperti e ora sinceramente spero in uno sfavore per il SB. Ho sempre tifato le squadre di Philadelphia e dopo il basket ho amato il football e lho scoperto così. Ditemi che possiamo sognare… anzi no ☺☺☺
Credo il motivo sia la percezione che tutti abbiamo sempre avuto degli Eagles. Noi di Huddle avevamo detto in prestagione che questa Phila poteva fare bene ma nemmeno noi avremmo pensato al Super Bowl probabilmente.
Quando hanno iniziato a vincere la percezione non cambia, e molti hanno iniziato a trovare in Wentz la causa di tale salto di qualità, perché altrimenti non avremmo saputo come spiegarlo. Al suo infortunio gli Eagles hanno zoppicato leggermente, e allora l’idea iniziale di squadra mediocre è tornata fuori.
Insomma, i Playoff servono a questo, a diventare grandi per tutti. E gli Eagles li hanno usati benissimo. Da qui a piegare Belichick in finale c’è di mezzo il classico mare dei proverbi, almeno secondo me. Ma mai partire battuti, sono sicuro non lo faranno.
Nel 2004 c’era una certa attesa sbarazzina, adesso c’è fin troppo rispetto per i mostri NE e Brady… chissà… la difesa vince i titoli e Phila ce l’ha almeno come i Patriots, gli attacchi sembrano buoni entrambi… purtroppo una delle due squadre è molto più abituata al palcoscenico
Inoltre noto che tutta America tiferà contro i Patriots, perfino i tifosi di Minnesota dove si giocherà il SB ma a Brady sicuramente non frega nulla. Faccio fatica a pensare dove si possono battere.
