Tra poche ore scade il termine per depositare il roster definitivo con 53 atleti e quindi tutte le squadre NFL stanno comunicando gli ultimi tagli.

La notizia ha del clamoroso perchè è di ieri la notizia della trade che aveva spedito il quarterback degli Eagles Matt Barkley agli Arizona Cardinals in cambio di una scelta al draft e questa mossa secondo tutti gli organi di informazione USA sembrava aprisse le porte a Tebow e alla sua presenza nel roster definitivo come terzo quarterback.

The Eagles’ final preseason game Thursday night against the Jets was what we thought it was – confirmation that Tim Tebow will back up Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez, and that Matt Barkley’s time with the Eagles was at an end.

The Arizona Cardinals agreed to send a seventh-round draft choice to the Eagles for Barkley, the Eagles said, confirming a Fox Sports report. The choice is conditional upon Barkley spending at least six games this season on the Arizona roster.
